Sulfur dye

Aug 08, 2018

Most of these dyes are insoluble in water and organic solvents, but they can be dissolved in a solution of an alkali sulfide, and they can be directly dyed with fibers after dissolution. However, because the dye base is too alkaline, it is not suitable for dyeing protein fibers. Such dyes are relatively homogeneous, inexpensive, and have good color fastness, but shades are not bright.
